How to Increase Your Adsense Revenue
If you're a webmaster, you've probably heard about Google's Adsense. Perhaps you're even earning from it already. This article will show you a method to increase your Adsense revenue dramatically. Google's Adsense allows webmasters to place links from Google's Adwords advertisers on their webpages by inserting a special code. When a visitor clicked on a link, the webmaster gets a cut of the profit Google made from the advertiser. The unique feature about Adsense is that the links it generates on your webpage are relevant to your page content. Thus, your keywords and topics become very important determinant for the type of links that will appear on your webpage. There are only two factors that determine how much a webmaster can make from Adsense. The first factor is the number of visitors who click on the links. The more people who clicked on the links, the more you make. Naturally, this means that the more targetted traffic to the website, the more you'll make. This is where most webmasters focus their efforts on. The second factor is the value of the links they clicked on. Here's where you can make a great difference to your earnings from Adsense and is our focus in this article. Let's take a look at how this works: Suppose you have 1000 visitors to your website and you get 2% conversion, that is 20 people clicked on your Adsense links. Let's assume that your Adsense links pay you only 50 cents per click. So you earn $10 dollars. Now let's see how much this same traffic will make for you if your Adsense links pay you $5 per click. For the same number of clicks, you make $100 dollars. That's a ten-fold increased in revenue! Well, that makes sense, you said, but how am going to determine what type of links appear on my webpages? Good questions! Here's where you'll need to do a little research and here's a tool to help you do just that. Go over to http://www.pixelfast.com/overture/ and you'll get a tool that shows you how much each keyword is worth. While this tool is for Overture's keywords, we can safely assume that this reflects the keyword values for Googles Adwords as well. Once you've found the keywords with high monetary values, you can optimize your webpages for them. This will increase your chances of having these high value keyword links appearing on your webpages. Some people have actually made extensive researches on Google's top paying keywords and found that one or two keywords are worth almost $100! However, generally most keywords are valued at between 50 cents and $5 dollars. Some keywords like "internet marketing" may fetch up to $7 dollars and "mortgage" pays up to $10 dollars. These values may change from time to time but they generally hover around these levels. Naturally, this information is priceless and you'll have to pay to get it. I feel it is worth every cent you paid for it. You can check it out at http://theselfimprovementsite.com/links/top-paying-keywords.html. And there you have it! A single factor that can radically increase your Adsense revenue! |
Keywords For Adsense
Number of Advertisers
Another reason for your dismal Adsense earnings, even when the keyword has a legitimately high CPC, is that there are very few advertisers in the Google system paying for that keyword phrase, maybe as low as 5 or 10. Google will fill all 4 or 5 slots in your page's Adsense ad, but chances are that only a few of the very highest traffic sties with proven above-normal Click Through Rates (CTR) will get served those premiere advertisers. Your site is getting the tail end of the advertisers paying much less for more-or-less related keyword phrases that you probably never considered when planning your website.
A top-of-the-line Adsense keyword research tool will solve these problems by providing exactly the information you need to successfully build an Adsense site: (1) the Average Cost Per Click (ACPC) that all the advertisers in the Google system are actually paying for specific keyword phrases, not just the top bidding few, and (2) the number of advertisers actively bidding in the Google system for a particular keyword phrase.
Competition
The third element that a top-of-the-line keyword research tool will provide is the number of publishers competing for any particular keyword phrase. Well, you say, they all do that by reporting the number of results pages in Google. That is wrong and misleading. You may have avoided optimizing for some legitimately lucrative keywords because of this bad intel. Here is an example. Search the broad-match keyword phrase "best mortgages" on Google. You will get more than 65,000,000 million results pages returned. Try the exact match [best mortgages] and you still get more than 8,000,0000 results.
Try this eye-popping tip. Search Google with this search term (without the quotation marks) "inanchor:best mortgages allintitle:best mortgages" Now you can see the real number of competitors you would have if you decided to optimize for "best mortgages." Not 65,000,000 or 8,000,000 but exactly 637. The reasoning is that millions of web pages will contain the word best and the word mortgage somewhere on the page, but only a few will use "best mortgages" in the title and in the anchor text linking into that page. Those few are your real competitors, and not all of them will be running Adsense ads. You would never learn this critical information if you are doing keyword research that shows only results returned.

Free Hosting
Self-hosting refers to the use of a computer program as part of the tool chain or operating system that produces new versions of that same program—for example, a compiler that can compile its own source code. Self-hosting software is commonplace on personal computers and larger systems. Other programs that are typically self-hosting include kernels, assemblers, and shells.
Several programming languages are self-hosting, in the sense that a compiler for the language, written in the same language, is available. As with a new computer system, the first compiler for a new programming language must be written in another language (in rare cases, machine language).
An Internet hosting service is a service that runs Internet servers, allowing organizations and individuals to serve content to the Internet. There are various levels of service and various kinds of services offered.
A common kind of hosting is web hosting. Most hosting providers offer a combined variety of services. Web hosting services also offer e-mail hosting service, for example.. DNS hosting service is usually bundled with domain name registration.
Generic, yet rather powerful, kind of Internet hosting provides a server where the client can run anything he wants (including web servers and other servers) and has an Internet connection with good upstream bandwidth.

Content For Adsense
The articles you'll want to have on your site should be short enough so that someone can read them in about 5 minutes. This means you want to stick to articles of 250 to 750 words, with 300 to 600 words optimal. To give you an idea, a single page in a published novel has about 300 words.
Of course, your real purpose in putting up all these nice little short articles and changing them out frequently is not to just put information out into the world. It is to have a site that people will come back to so that they will see the Google AdSense ads, and click on them, and then you will get checks in the mail.

Increasing Your Website Traffic - Tips For the Beginner
One thing is true - a website without visitors is useless! You may have the most up-to-date, technologically advanced, standards compliant website ever developed, but without any visitors you may as well throw in the towel! Visitors are the reason you created your website in the first place. Whether you are a global, multi-million dollar company providing information to your customers & investors, a nationwide bank offering online account management or a lonely affiliate marketer, your website was created for people to read it, use it or click ads on it. OK, so that's settled. Now on to the juicy bit...How do you get people to visit your site? How to Increase Website Traffic There are many ways to increase traffic to your website. Online advertising, public relations, newspaper advertising, television advertising, word of mouth, leaflets & flyers...the list goes on. There is only one problem - all these things cost money - and usually lots of it! The one exception is word of mouth, but for that to work you need people to have been on your website in the first place in order to pass the word on to other people...I'm thinking 'chicken' and 'egg'. Another problem with these forms of advertising is that after paying out all that money, you have no guarantee of success. Your ad may be displayed in your local/national paper, but that is not to say anyone will actually go online and visit your site. You are risking a lot of money for what could be very little in return. Thankfully, there is another way... Another way visitors get to your website is through search engines. Search engines not only deliver a lot of traffic, but even better - targeted traffic! Remember your ad in the newspaper? Remember how you had no guarantee anyone reading that newspaper would visit your website? Well, imagine instead, people using a search engine, actively searching for the service or products your company offers. The likelihood of these people clicking on your company website has increased hundredfold! Just one more problem: They can only click on your website if it is listed high up in the search engine results. So that leads us to our next question...How do you get your website listed high up in the search engine results? Simple. Links! Links, links and more links! There are, of course, other factors involved, but seeing as this is an article for beginners, lets just stick with the basics. Links are the single most important thing a website can have in order to rank highly in the search engines. Without them, it is unlikely your site will be indexed at all - never mind high up! So, how do you go about getting these links? Well, there are many ways - but those tips are for another article. Suffice to say, you need a lot of them & it takes a lot of time. Time much better spent concentrating on other areas of your business. That's where SEOBackup.com comes in. Whether you are just starting out with SEO, or you are an agency who've been around for years, our link-building services could provide you with all the links you need to give you the edge on your competition. Find out about the various link building packages we offer here. |
How to Make the Search Engines Love Your Site
With the proper know-how and the tools you can make your site beat your competition every time and wind up on the first page of results.
Search Engine Optimization or SEO is a term commonly used to make something simple look complicated. It sounds "geeky" but it's really simple when you peek behind the curtain and see just how easy it is to learn.
Think about how you, yourself, use search engines to find stuff. I know I am like most most people. I scan the ten top search results on the first page and, if I don't find what I want I might move to the second page or just type in a new search term. So, getting your site listed on the first page, if possible in the top three listings, is always the goal. To reach that goal you need to learn the codes that the search engines want to see.
Now, the word "codes" might scare you but, in fact, "codes" means "words". That's right, words! You need to know where to put the right words on your site that will help you make it to the first page of results.
Why learn how to do this? It's simple. The higher you rank on the first page, the greater the likelyhood of your link being clicked on by someone seeking exactly the information you offer. In other words, the more traffic to your site, the more business you generate for your products and services and the more money you will make.
This is easier than you might think because most websites are not using solid SEO techniques and can easily be knocked out of their top position. Once you learn how to look at their words in the code and on the site, you will be able to find what they are missing. Use that information to code your site and you will beat them to the top within hours!
Remember: Search engine traffic is free traffic. It's called "organic traffic." It's traffic you do not have to spend a penny to get. It's traffic that automatically finds your site when the right "words" are there in your code and on your site. With search engine optimization you can get the benefit of generating a high traffic volume for free.
It's a number game you see. The more traffic you get, the better chance of making a sale. It's that simple.
Search engine optimization is utilizing tools and methods in making your site get a top ranking in the results of search engines. Getting yourself on the first page, better yet in the top half of the page, will ensure that your site will be seen by more surfers and subsequently generate more traffic, traffic that could lead to greater income. That's what it's all about: Traffic equals Sales!
Initially, editing your web site does require some work on your part. For each of your websites, you need to implement some simple tweaks, but, tweaks that take some thought to maximize your results. And, again, this is not geek stuff at all. The tweaks you can make are simple and, once implemented, you can forget about your site and move on to build even more sites that will rank high in the search engines.
There are several aspects you have to change in your site, or add, to achieve strong search engine optimization. These will include getting lots of information about the keyword phrases that are popular in regards to your niche or theme and placing that information into key sections of your site.
You may also need to edit your sites content so that you can place the right keyword phrases in your content without making your site look too commercial. The idea is to give visitors a quality experience with a soft sell approach.
Want to know how well your site stacks up right now? Just type in your current keywords into Google and see what comes up. Are you on the first or second page? Probably not because you have not known about rewriting your site to attract search engines.
If you spend a little time and search the internet you can find free guidance and tutorials. Read as many articles that it takes for you to understand how to optimize your site for better search engine results. The more knowledge and information you gather, the better. Apply your new knowledge to help you in getting those higher rankings. This may require a little time and effort on your part but the benefits will be seen in your bank account.
Now, if you have a little money to invest, there are tutorials and software that can help you learn search engine optimization much faster. There are also many tools that find profitable keyword phrases that will help you decide the best changes you can make to your site. There are also content writers that have lots of experience in writing keyword laden content of good quality, the kind of content that search engines love to see. The better the quality of your content, the better your ranking will be.

Easy Guide to Affiliate Marketing
What exactly is Affiliate Marketing?
It is a promotional tool where revenue is shared by the companies or online advertisers and the persons doing the program. The compensation is based on per click, sales, sign-up and many other hybrid models.
It is dubbed as one of the greatest means of internet marketing since the risks are very low and the rewards are good. Service buyers or the companies do not have to spend a lot of money for an ad that may or may not reach their target consumers. Service providers on the other hand appreciate the rate being paid by companies especially those that have generated a lot of income.
For those who are interested in earning through affiliate marketing, here are the simplified steps you can do as a start:
Find a niche you should concentrate in- Your site should not contain a Hodgepodge of niches but it is more effective to showcase only one. You can work on that niche to narrow down your target market. You will be able to gain more credibility too if you only stay focus on one niche.
SEO is your friend- It is important for you to be able to generate traffic especially one that results to a sale, click or a sign-up. The more stable your traffic, the more chances for good companies to get you as their affiliate partner.
Knowledge is power- It does not hurt for you to do your research. Know facts about your products as well as your target market. You can use this on your content. The way you present your articles can affect your success in this industry.
Be patient- When you are just starting out, you would not be able to earn money instantly. It would take time and a lot of marketing techniques itself to generate enough sales. Do not think that it is like other get-rich schemes in the Internet where the payout is instant but lacks stability.
Be dynamic and constantly update your knowledge- New means and techniques may come out any time in affiliate marketing. Be sure that you will update your knowledge to maintain an edge. If you want to make this easier, apply in a money system like Profit Lance. They will serve you with constant updates not just on affiliate marketing but in other aspects of online marketing as well.

10 Ways to Use Facebook For Increasing Web Traffic to Your Site
More than 115 million people log in to Facebook every month. It is the largest social networking tool and a great place in the web for building your brand and driving traffic to your site. However, if you are not familiar with the viral techniques that work in the Facebook platform, soon you will find your brand tarnished. You can gain quick exposure to your businesses using the techniques discussed in this article.
1. Build a Facebook network. Before you start implementing any of the techniques discussed here, you need to develop a network of Facebook friends. To do that, join a few groups that are related to your business and a few groups that you are passionate about.
Ask people in the groups to add you as their friend. Facebook also has nifty tool that suggest people you would like to know. Send request to these people to add you as their friend. Send a short note explaining why you want to be their friend. If send 20 requests a day, you will have a network of more than 1,000 friends in two months.
2. Update your status every day. Log in every day and update your status. Don't use status messages like "I am sleeping now", "Just came from work". These types of status messages are not interesting. Use quotes from famous people about a specific niche, for example love, dedication, work ethics, peace, war, etc. You can also use jokes. Your aim is to draw people's attention to your messages so that they would click on your profile to know more about you.
3. Wish birthday wishes everyday. Facebook also shows upcoming birthdays of all friends in your network. Every day send birthday wishes to friends whose birthdays are due. Read their profiles to know more about them and write a nice personal message on their walls. Don't use canned birthday messages for everybody.
When you write on a friend's wall in Facebook, everybody in the network gets updated news feed. You need to write something that get attention. You may craft a 10 to 20 attention grabbing birthday messages and than personalize them slightly for each friend.
4. Create a business page. Besides your personal page, you should also create a business page. Creating a business page is similar to creating a personal page in Facebook. Design a nice logo and use it for your business page picture.
Next, become a fan of your business page. You can use your business page to launch targeted Facebook ad campaign. Promote your Facebook business page using blogs, blog comments, etc. and ask people to become a fan of your business. Use some promotional materials, like free t-shirts, free eBooks etc as incentives for becoming a fan.
5. Tag promotional photos using friends' names. Upload all promotional photos to your business page. Some people tag these photos with the names of their most influential friends in the network. Your promotional photos will show up in your friends' news feeds. Once you setup a network of friends, make a list of friends with high number of friends, preferably more than 1000. Setup your mini network to tag each others names in promotional photos.
6. Change your relationship status regularly if it is possible. One of the least frequent activity in Facebook is changing the relationship. Because people don't change their relationship frequently, Facebook places a great deal of importance to relationship change and send the news feeds to everybody in your network whenever there is a change in your relationship status.
People have explored this loop hole to attract attention to their profiles. They change their relationship almost weekly and try to attract visitors to their profiles. It is up to you to adopt this technique because it may not reflect your true relationship status. If you do adopt this technique, don't forget to publish some promotional materials in your personal feed.
7. Attend Multiple Events. True to its college root, Facebook is all about friends gathering at some place for an event. Facebook gives high priority to events in the news feed. Your goal is to RSVP all the events in your network even if you miss a few of them.
When your friends see you as a frequent event attendee, they consider you as an event resource. The trick is to show your name in all the places you can. As your friends see your name multiple times, some will be curious to check your profile.
8. Import your blog post. If you have a blog, import your blog's RSS feed into Facebook. Facebook will publish the articles in the feed as Facebook notes automatically. Encourage your friends to comments on your articles in Facebook notes. You can also tag friends in the articles but don't overdo it.
9. Post comments on popular groups. Visit popular Facebook groups that you have joined regularly and post comments. Just like blog comments or forum posting, Facebook comments on popular groups will attract attention to your name and profile. Add something valuable or post a link that adds value to the topic under discussions.
10. Start your own events. Events are very popular in Facebook and if you can promote it properly, it will have viral effects and thousands will register for the event. Send invitation to your network friends who have thousands of friends in their networks and also to attractive female friends in your network who may not have a large number of friends.
7 Tips on How to Promote Your Website
Often when people start an internet business they don't have a clue how to go about their marketing campaign. They end up posting ads aimlessly to places that do nothing but send them spam and waste time and money. Then, after a couple weeks without results, they give up. And it it happening with people everyday. So, in this section we will look at a number of techniques which you can use to your advantage when promoting your new website. When used correctly these marketing techniques will dramatically increase traffic and sales without emptying your bank account.
1. Web Classifieds & Directories
Good quality links - especially from webpages on a similar topic to yours - are crucial to getting ranked well in the search engine results. The search engines figure that sites with more good links to them are more important & will reward them with better rankings. And, of course, people will find your site through links too. So submitting your site to a quality directories and and placing adds on a high rated classified sites will not only bring more people to your website but also will help search engines to find your website faster and also will increase your site rating in search engines. read more on classifieds or read more on directories
2. Link Exchanges
This is a fantastic way to increase the importance of your website in the eyes of the search engines. The rationale that the search engines use is that if other sites are linking to yours, then your site must be important. A link from another site to your site is considered a "vote" for your site. The more of these votes, the better; to an extent, of course. Steer clear of such black hat techniques as link farms and free for all (FFA) sites. I recommend starting by asking your vendors, suppliers and customers if they could link to your site in exchange for a link to theirs. You could then branch out into related businesses that service a different audience.
3. Search Engine Submission
This step is critical for any brand new website. You'll want to let the major search engines know that your new site exists, and prompting them to visit it with a search engine submission campaign is a great start. Don't bother buying a big 1500-engine submission package ? there's only about 7 to 10 major search engines worth worrying about, and once you're listed on these, the other 1490 will pick you up (not that they'll send you any measurable traffic?). The controversy here is whether or not to continue a submission campaign. Does it help an established site? Does it hurt it? A big tip to give you here is to be sure to work hard to get your site listed in the important directories like Google and Yahoo.
4. Electronic Newsletter / EMAIL Marketing
An electronic newsletter is a fantastic method for staying in touch with not only existing customers, but potential customers as well. Provide useful, interesting information on a regular basis and be sure that people can subscribe and unsubscribe easily. Utilizing a good tool (e.g. auto responder or follow up service) will make your life easier and allow people to forward the newsletter to their friends and colleagues (known as Viral Marketing). You can also use the newsletter as a vehicle for announcements or specials. Never charge anything to subscribers, and build your list by running contests or promotions or free giveaways.
5. Article Writing
Writing articles is another great way to generate a lot of quality traffic as well as make a name for yourself on the internet. All you do is write on a topic you know about and submit it to places that accept article submissions. This one scares people at first because they don't think they can write. Trust me it's not as hard as you may think to find a topic you know something about. Then just write a couple pages about it. For example: I never used to think I could write articles but you are reading this one right now, aren't you?
6. Forum Submissions
Basically all you do with this one is go to internet business forums and post answers to people's questions. This one is more for making a solid reputation for yourself as a knowledgeable and trustworthy individual.
7. Pay-per-click
I saved this one until last as I believe it is the single most important item in this list. If you remember nothing else from this article, remember pay-per-click (or PPC). By paying for visits from people who are searching on keywords related to your product or service, you are almost ensuring that your website will generate more revenue with a higher conversion rate of visitors to customers. The more popular programs include Google AdWords, Overture Content Match and Site Match, as well as smaller players like FindWhat, Kanoodle and Mamma.
